Since my brother moved to Southern California, it has been a highlight of my summers to visit him and his family. Traveling with two little kids can be a bit rough, but each time we do it, I am always so pleasantly surprised by how less terrifying it was! Henry and Owen seem to be able to tolerate a six hour cross-continental flight and the payoff of being with family in the sun is worth the little hiccup of getting there. We had a blast last week and packed our trip to the gills with various explorations. From the botanical garden to a concert in the park, we tried to fill our dance card with all things quintessential California. The hardest part of the whole trip was coming home and saying goodbye to Avery, Smith, Jessie, and Bryan. I hate letting go of loved ones and one week is just too short.

I am a designer and craftswoman getting my hands muddy making small batch pottery for your home. These items are handmade and will show the marks of the process. Each piece is unique, bearing the same colors and similarities, with differences in applications of glaze and slight variations in size. All wares are made with attention to detail, including remnants of the hand at work and intentional imperfections. View all posts by Melissa
